Premium Shu, made exclusively from old tea trees harvested in the renowned Tong Qing He area of Yiwu, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan.
The leaves come from deep forests rich in biodiversity, and harvesting takes place at an altitude of 1,450-1,900 meters above sea level. This area provides exceptional tea leaves with exceptional depth and complexity.
The tea was harvested in 2019, then underwent controlled fermentation and was pressed into traditional 357g cakes. The result reflects both the quality of the input material and the subsequent level of craftsmanship.
The dry leaf has a sweet aroma of dried dates and forest moss. The wet leaf has an aroma combining dark chocolate, sweet rice, and undertones of a cool camphor forest.
The taste is smooth and full, characteristic of material from old trees from the Tong Qing River.
Sweet earthy body, dominant taste combining blackberries and figs, caramelized honey, hints of aromatic wood resin, and delicate forest mushrooms. A beautifully balanced and pleasant bitterness in the background adds full structure without astringency.
A great drink and also very suitable for further aging.
