A Japanese shiboridashi by Master Akizuki—a late artist from Tokoname. This piece dates from the 1960s to the 1980s. It has undergone a reduction firing.

He was also an excellent calligrapher and engraver. If you’re looking for a unique shiboridashi to enjoy gyokuro, this piece might appeal to you. You will receive the piece shown in the photos.

The shiboridashi does not come with its original tomobako, but it will be shipped in a spare box from a Japanese ceramics shop.

Before use: before first use, rinse the teapot in hot water and let it dry completely.

Maintenance: do not use cleaning agents or a dishwasher. Clean by hand with clean water, without chemicals. The teapot must be left to dry after each use. Ideally, designate the teapot for a specific type of tea for which it will always be used.
