Beishan High Mt. JinXuan "Dong Ding Roast" 2024
This is a high mountain oolong tea from the Bei Shan area of Nantou County. The garden is located at an altitude of around 1,100 meters above sea level and is managed using nature farming methods, i.e. without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
The TTES.12 Jin Xuan cultivar is used. The tea has been roasted several times in the Dong Ding Competition style, i.e., multi-stage roasting. This was done by a master who has won awards at the Lugu LGTTS Dong Ding competition.
The dry leaves are processed into the classic form of Taiwanese oolongs, small pearls with a fruity-sweet, roasted aroma.
The tea offers an orange-gold infusion, with a taste that is a combination of floral/fruity tones and velvety sweetness, which is nicely accentuated by the roasting of the tea. The tea has a beautiful aftertaste that will tickle your palate :).
A nice example of the art of roasting Jin Xuan.
