Beishan Wuyi High Mountain 2023 - 50g

This tea is harvested in Beishan, Nantou county, at an altitude of around 1100 m.a.s.l. The harvest is from April 2023, but this oolong has a great potential for aging.

It is a cultivar originally imported from China - the so-called Heritage Wuyi, which are descendants of rock plants from northern Fujian. Another element that makes this tea unique is the fact that lately the light, fragrant ollongs from other, more pleasing cultivars have been especially popular and thus this cultivar is less used. This tea belongs to the category infested by the Jacobiasca formosana locust, which causes the so-called MiXiang - honey aroma.

The aroma of the dry leaf is a combination of a mineral component with stone fruit. It is a Hong Shui type oolong, which are medium oxidized 35-45%. The tea needs multiple infusions to reveal all its layers, textures and aromas.

The color of the infusions is up to brownish-red, beautifully clear and full-bodied. The infusion is then a combination of intense aromas and flavours of spices, fruit compote, roasted nuts and a very pleasantly sweet and lingering aftertaste.

A very pleasant experience for people who are not only looking for the light, floral and smooth oolongs that are now the trend.
