Xiaojiawan Da Hong Pao Yi Deng Jiang 2025
.
A cliff-grown oolong harvested in May 2025, this is a carefully balanced blend of Rou Gui and Shui Xian cultivars. The tea comes from bushes that are over 20 years old.
The harvest area is Xiaojiawan, which belongs to the “semi-rocky” region known as Banyan; while not the main Wuyi region, it is a terroir of very high quality.
The tea is processed using the traditional charcoal roasting method, undergoing two roasting phases totaling 24 hours.
The dry leaf is characterized by large, tightly twisted, spirally curled leaves with a dark, glossy appearance.
The aroma combines wood, narcissus-orchid, and a hint of dried fruit. After brewing, it offers a long-lasting aroma with distinct orchid notes.
The infusion is orange-red, clear, with a full-bodied, balanced, refined flavor. Floral and fruity notes, layered flavors, and a beautifully sweet, spicy aftertaste.
