Summer harvest from a garden in the Takdah region—the name “Takdah” is derived from the local language of the Lepcha ethnic group and means “Place of Tigers.” This area was likely a region where tigers roamed freely, and that is where its name comes from, as there is not much information available in the records about why it was named this way.

The garden is located at an elevation of 800–1,900 meters, making this a high-mountain tea. Furthermore, it is a small garden jointly tended by 40 families in the area, so I’m glad we can continue to support them in this endeavor. These are truly just small batches of very high-quality teas.

This tea is beautifully processed—a classic second flush from this region. The dry leaves display a variety of colors, ranging from light greenish-brown to red, and also contain some tips.

The tea has a full-bodied, fresh flavor that combines distinct muscatel notes with floral and fruity aromas. A very well-crafted tea.

Brewing: 150ml, 3-4g, 95°C, 3 min. depending on taste preferences.

Other brewing:

Gongfu: - 150ml, 6-7g, 95C, first brewing 40-60s, next brewings 20-30s. 

Western Brewing: - 5g, 0.5l water, 90C, 2-3 mins.
