.
A fresh spring harvest from a garden in the Takdah region—the name “Takdah” is derived from the local language of the Lepcha ethnic group and means “Place of Tigers.” This area was likely once home to wild tigers, which is where the name originates, as there is little information in historical records explaining why it was given this name.
The garden is located at an altitude of 800–1,900 meters, making this a high-mountain tea. Furthermore, it is a small garden jointly tended by 40 families in the area, so I am glad that we can further support them in this endeavor. These are truly just small batches of very high-quality teas.
This is a classic light-type First Flush, but a very nicely processed limited edition that you won’t find anywhere else.
The tea has a full, fresh flavor combining mountain flowers and grasses, a light fruity note, and a long-lasting fresh aftertaste in the mouth.
Another FF DJ from Takdah.
