Gyokuro from the Kyoto area, from a small family farm where the craft has been passed down for generations.
Harvested on 25 May 2024 from the Housyun cultivar, the tea has been shaded for 25 days, has a low roasting level (90C)
A delicious Gyokuro with a dry leaf aroma of lush grasses and sweet cream.
The infusion flavour combines subtle umami seaweed combined with ripe figs in the aftertaste.
Vacuum packed, stored in the fridge.

Brewing ideally in shiboridashi:
First infusion - 60C, 5g, 70-100 ml, 1m30s.
Second infusion - same temperature 20s
Further infusions, increase water temperature and extend the leaching time.
It should be noted that it is advisable to experiment with teas and discover their beauty!
