Japanese Kyusu teapot with side handle by master Ishii Shuzan. Teapot with a very successful yohen effect, i.e. overfiring. Ishii Shuzan is a Japanese ceramist renowned for his masterful use of traditional techniques and sense of aesthetics. His works have been repeatedly awarded at the prestigious Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition.Ishii Shūzan creates unique, handmade ceramic objects, not only ceramic teapots, but also vases and other items, often decorated with gold and silver decorations (kinsai / ginsai) or effects created directly in the kiln (yōhen). Each piece is original and reflects the combination of tradition, craftsmanship, and modern expression of Japanese ceramics.This is a single piece and an original. Before use: rinse the teapot in hot water and allow to dry completely before first use

Maintenance: do not use detergents, dishwasher. Clean by hand, with clean water, without chemicals. Do not clean, clean with detergents. The teapot should be left to dry after each use. Ideally, specify the teapot for the specific type of tea for which it will always be used.
