Slightly oxidized oolong from Java. Indonesia produces mostly lower quality teas, but this tea is a beautiful exception and I don't think anything better than this master's production can be found in this region.

The leaves were hand-harvested in late January from the Taiwanese cultivar TRES.27, which is grown at an altitude of 1500m in the Ciwidey area of West Java. 

A beautifully processed tea with a very low level of oxidation. Large leaf color ranging from light, to dark green. The tea is really on the borderline between light green teas and the floral oolongs of Taiwan.

The taste of the tea is aromatic, creamy, grassy, fresh with a slight floral quality. The aftertaste is fresh, sweet, long-lasting.

Brewing in gaiwan - 150ml:

6g, 90C, 60s first infusion. 30-45s according to personal preference. Can withstand multiple infusions depending on preparation method.
