This matcha was harvested from the Yabukita cultivar and ground/packaged in May 2026 in the Ujitawara region of Kyoto. Tea from an organically managed garden.
The producer has a brand-new production line dedicated to producing matcha of the highest quality. Its jade-like color alone is a sign of its high quality.
A delicate, smooth, fresh, and very high-quality matcha with a subtle sweetness and light notes of nuts, seaweed, and spinach.
Compared to Okumidori, it is less sweet and creamy in flavor, but it has a very clean, balanced taste and is the main cultivar used for matcha production in Japan—in other words, the typical matcha flavor for the majority of consumers.
Excellent value for money. Packaged in a bag and then in a zip-lock bag for better storage, just like the Okumidori in our selection.
Vacuum-sealed, store in the refrigerator.

Preparation in chawan:
2g matcha = 2 chashaku spoons, or 1 teaspoon
Beat 50-90ml of water at 65C and whisk with a chasen whisk.
