Muzha Tie Guan Yin Spring Competition 2026 - 300g

Muzha Tie Guan Yin, a tea that won an award—finalist grade—and was packaged on 02/06/2026. The entire can contains 300g; the can is intact and sealed, just as TW competition teas are stored for aging. Therefore, it is only available in 300g quantities—there are only a few packages left, and they are intended for aging.

The price of the can will rise every year.

You can be certain that this is genuine Muzha TGY, which was approved by the competition judges because it met their criteria for being declared an authentic and properly produced Muzha Tie Guan Yin.

The town of Muzha is renowned for its production of highly oxidized oolongs, which are not always available on the market.

This tea has a smooth, layered complexity that challenges the taste buds; although heavily roasted, the roasted flavor is beautifully balanced with other flavors.

The infusion combines notes of dried fruit, roasted nuts, caramelized sweetness, spiciness, and minerality. The flavor gradually unfolds in layers. Despite its higher oxidation, this is a very gentle, elegant, and delicate tea.

It must be said that this is a tea well-suited for aging. If you leave the package unopened, the tea will mature over the years, rounding out its flavors and softening its character. This is exactly how these competition teas are allowed to age in Taiwan! It’s already excellent now, but it will become a true treasure in the years to come.

.

Brewing for 100 ml: 6–7 g, 98°C. It’s important to rinse the tea first, followed by a first infusion of 55 seconds, then a second and third infusion of 35 seconds each, gradually increasing the steeping time thereafter.

You really need to use this amount of tea if you want to taste it the way it’s meant to be.
