Nature Farming Assam TRES no.8 2024 - 50g

Nature farming version - without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

A large-leaved, beautifully twisted, glossy tea leaf, reminiscent of the finest Bao Zhong. Sourced from Yu Chi Township, Nantou County. Manual harvesting takes place at an altitude of 600m. The harvest took place in August 2024.

The infusion is orange-brown in colour with a hint of ruby. The delicious fruity aroma pouring out of the tea cup is reminiscent of cherries combined with apricots.
The tea is very refreshing, full-bodied and has a sweet, fruity taste just after the combination of cherries and apricots. It has a full body and a strong aftertaste.

For many people, Taiwan is primarily a country where delicious oolongs come from, but Taiwan also has a long history in black tea production, dating back to the 1920s. While still under Japanese rule, the Yuchih Township area, which lies on Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan, was chosen for its perfect climate and soil for growing Assam tea bushes. At that time, Taiwanese black tea was a success and sold well in New York and London. Then, after the end of World War II, black tea disappeared from the island. It reappeared as TRES No.8.

Truly a must try and not only for black tea lovers but also for oolong lovers!
