Nature Farming Wuyi Black - 50g
Nature Farming Wuyi Black - 50g
.
Black tea from the Wuyi cultivar, which is a descendant of the Chinese Wuyi that was imported to Taiwan. This cultivar is used to produce mostly oolongs, sometimes black teas.
This is a hand harvest from June 2024, from the Ming Jian area in Nantou county, cultivar Wuyi.
The large, beautifully crafted dry leaf offers a sweetly spicy aroma. The infusion is dark brown to red in colour.
The taste is full-bodied and offers a combination of mineral and fruity notes, a hint of prune with cinnamon, and a honey sweetness. A very interesting, denser Taiwanese black tea that doesn't deny its affinity to other great Taiwanese black teas, but stands out from the pack with its minerality, a strength it takes from Wuyi cultivar.
A very interesting tea.
