Asamushi sencha from the Yabukita cultivar, which is one of the popular cultivars in Japan. The harvest took place in June 2025 and this tea was not shaded. The tea comes from the Ohbuku mountain area, which is the first area where tea was grown in the Uji region.
Asamushi means light steamed sencha. This method is used for high-quality teas and the raw leaves called Namaha are steamed for a short time of 20 to 35 seconds.
These teas are characterized by a lighter infusion and the taste of the cultivar, its specific aroma, can be emphasized.
Beautifully processed leaf and a very fresh aroma with a fruity touch and a mountain touch.
The infusion is rather lighter greenish in color, but in the taste you will feel fresh tones, mountain freshness and the sparkle of the local streams, the tea has medium umami and is very refreshing.

Brewing 100ml:
First infusion - 70C, 4-5g, 70-90s.
Second infusion - same temperature 25s
Subsequent infusions increase the water temperature and increase the leaching time.
