Ozurgeti Kolkhida Black 2024

Black tea from the Ozurgeti region of Georgia. The leaf is very nicely processed, see photos.

The aroma of the dry leaf combines sweet cocoa, a hint of berries.

The taste of the tea is very mild, medium-bodied when properly prepared, sweet combining berries, cocoa, minerality.

This is a basic black tea that is good to start the day and with a good price/performance ratio.

Preparation: 150ml, 6g, 3 minutes, or longer. 

From my point of view, tea is ideal for kind of western brewing, I prefer to draw out the flavours and get a fuller cup in flavour rather than trying to use gongfu preparation, but it's also an option if you want extra fine infusions. The tea doesn't go bitter, even with longer times.
