PQM San Xia Black 2024 - 50g
PQM San Xia Black 2024 - 50g
A hand-harvested, twisted, glossy tea leaf with a high proportion of hairy tips, harvested by hand on 22/2/2024 and is a Chin Xin Gan Zhi cultivar. It was harvested at an altitude of around 600m.
This is a quality example of spring black tea, which is made from a fine collection of smaller leaves of Chin Xin Gan Zhi.
The infusion is orange-brown in colour with a hint of ruby. The delicious fruity aroma pouring from the tea cup is reminiscent of mango, peach with a sweetish taste. A very refreshing black tea for warm spring days with a medium-bodied body. One could say it is reminiscent of the more oxidized oolongs as well, but these are scarce from Taiwan, most of the time the quality leaves are processed into the famous lightly oxidized high heat oolongs.
Preparation per 100 ml:
Gong Fu Cha - 4-5g tea, 98C water, first pour approx. 60s, second pour 45s, then extend time interval. 4-5 infusions.
