SanXia Black Bug Bitten 2023 - 50g

Tea from the SanXia area in New Taipei. It was harvested in November 2023 and hand-picked using a bud with one or two leaves. These tea leaves grow in the garden without the use of chemicals and have been attacked and bitten by the Jacobiasca formosana grasshopper, giving the tea its unique flavour.
 
The quality of the tea is enhanced by the state-of-the-art equipment used in processing the tea. This garden produces top quality teas that do not reach us due to their high price, in fact they would be unsaleable, this is the exception that proves the rule.

A really beautifully processed, pure black tea with a proportion of golden tips, see photos. The dry leaf has an aroma combining spice and noble wood.
The infusion is orange-brown in colour with a hint of ruby. The taste of the tea offers a natural and delicate aroma of honey, citrus fruits with a hint of noble wood in the background. The taste of the tea is very clean, medium-bodied. It is a light, delicate refreshing tea, absolutely without any signs of bitterness. 
 
 
Preparation for 150 ml:
Gong Fu Cha - 6 g of tea, 98C water, first infusion approx. 40-60s, same for second infusion, then extend the time interval. 4-5 infusions.
