SanXia White Champagne 2023 - 20g

Tea from the SanXia area in New Taipei. It was harvested in November 2023 from wild old trees. The tea was lightly oxidized and dry roasted to achieve a strong peach and chestnut aroma.
 
The quality of the tea is further enhanced by the state-of-the-art equipment used in processing the tea. This garden produces top quality teas that do not reach us due to their high price, in fact they would be unsaleable, this is the exception that proves the rule. For this garden, this is one of the cheaper teas.
 
A top quality leaf that is extremely bulky, hence the 20g pack.
 
The golden coloured infusion offers multiple flavours that change during the infusion. From the first infusion, which is less full-bodied and more of a fresh, almost green leaf feel, we gradually get to an almost full-bodied tea that has a very pleasant sweetness, fruity floral aroma with a hint of exotic woods, silky tannins and a very smooth, lingering aftertaste. The tea is very good for aging, now it is basically very fresh leaves.
 
A rare tea, a suitable substitute for champagne :).
 
 
Preparation for 150 ml:
Gong Fu Cha - 6 g tea, 95C water, first pour approx. 40-60s, same for second pour, then extend time interval. Lasts 6-8 pours.
