Sencha Karigane from Yabukita Cultivar 100%. This tea is a blend of harvests from Nakabata 70% and Ishizume 30%. The tea has JAS Organic Certification. Harvested on May 4, 2024 and May 14, 2024 the tea has not been shielded and is heavily roasted.

A nicely crafted leaf as is customary from this production. Scent of mountain is the name from the producer. The tea combines a light sweetness as well as a grassy note and also a mountain note :).

The infusion is greenish in colour see photogravy, the taste is lightly sweet, hearty grassy - mountain grasses, slightly nutty and straight.

Karigane, or Kukicha, is a tea made from tea leaves and stems. 

The tea has a creamy nutty flavour combined with spring grasses, with a slightly sweetish aftertaste and roasted notes.

Brewing 100ml:
First infusion - 80C, 4g, 40s.
Second infusion - same temperature 20s
Subsequent infusions increase the water temperature and increase the leaching time.
