Shan Lin Xi Chin Xin Winter 2023 - 50g

Shan Lin Xi is a famous cultivation area in Nantou County, although often overshadowed by the better-known AliShan area. Harvested in November 2023, this tea is a fresh winter harvest from the Chin Xin cultivar.

This particular tea comes from an altitude of 1300-1400m above sea level, from a garden in the Da Lung area. Large rolled balls, vivid green in colour with purple hues.

The spectacular tea gardens of Shan lin Xi are located at an altitude of 800-2000 m above sea level. Some are in hard-to-reach places where climbing equipment is required. Often these areas are surrounded by fir trees, which also affect the resulting taste and freshness of the tea.

The tea is lightly oxidised to 15-20% and then lightly roasted so that it helps the distinctive floral notes to come through. It has a slightly buttery flavour that is supported by a hint of spice and a distinct florality. The layers of flavours gradually emerge, offering a delicious sipping experience of this highland oolong.
