The leaves come from a garden in the Kamo area of Kyoto. The aroma of the dry leaves is fresh, mountainous, slightly fruity, and creamy-sweet.
The characteristics of the Asanoka cultivar are accentuated by roasting, so this tea was roasted a little longer to achieve a more pronounced flavor.
The infusion has an intense green color, as you would expect from a fukamushi; the flavor is richer, smoother, and without any astringency.
