Sri Lanka T-artZ Handcrafted Oolong - 30g

A premium high-mountain oolong from Sri Lanka. Hand-picked from the garden in May 2026 in Bandarawella, Badulla District.

It’s wonderful to see that Sri Lanka is gradually shifting toward the production of high-quality teas.

The producer is Lochana Wijerathna—check out T-artZ on Instagram. Although he studied economics, his passion for tea led him to craft tea production. He inherited a small garden from his father planted with the TRI-2025 cultivar. The tea plants are around 35 years old and grow at an altitude of 1,200 meters. 

Production process for this oolong: 

1) Withering for 18 hours
2) Hand-rolling to initiate tea oxidation. 
3) Pan-firing in a wok. 
4) Hand-tossed again. 
5) 1 to 2 weeks of air-drying.

The aroma of the dry leaf is intensely fruity. The leaf is beautifully processed, as shown in the photo.

The infusion is clear and refreshing, with a full-bodied flavor that combines exotic fruits and honeyed sweetness, with a hint of Indian spices and a light minerality in the background.

Brewing for 150 ml: 3 g, 95°C, 3 min. 

Gongfu brewing: 150 ml: 6 g, 95°C, 70 sec., then 40 sec., 40 sec., 60 sec.
