Takada Shozaburo Karatsu Vintage Chawan

.

A unique vintage chawan from the workshop of master Takada Shozaburo. A very old piece, difficult to determine its exact age.

Karatsu ware - Karatsu-yaki - 唐津焼, is traditional Japanese pottery originating from the city of Karatsu in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. It is one of the oldest and most respected ceramic traditions in Japan, along with Bizen, Shigaraki, Seto, Tanba, and Echizen - the so-called "Rokkoyō" (六古窯, "six ancient kilns").

An elegant chawan with a delicate white glaze and partially visible clay. An impressive piece of work.

Only one piece available; you will receive the item shown in the photos.

Chawan dimensions:

- diameter 15,5 cm

- height 6 cm.

.

Before use: just rinse, no further care is necessary.
