Tay Con Linh Mt. Range Shai Hong - 100g

100g brick of Vietnamese Shai Hong, i.e. black tea dried in the sun. The leaves come from old Shan Thuyet trees, from the Tay Con Ling mountain range, Ha Giang. The tea was pressed on 28/7/2023 and is suitable for aging. The brick is pressed medium strength, no problem to separate the necessary amount of leaves.

The aroma of the brick is sweet, honey. The flavour is full-bodied, honey-sweet and slightly floral in the background. If you are familiar with the shai hongs in my range from China and northern Thailand, this one is denser and fuller in flavour, yet still tastes characteristic of shai hong.

Brewing: 150ml, 6g, 95C, 60s, second and third infusion 30-40s, further infusions to be extended according to personal preference.
