Liubao from Wuzhou, which began aging in May 2013 and was packaged after 7 years of maturation in July 2020. This is a re-edition of liu-bao, which was specially designed for the export market in the 1960s and 1970s and was the first export product in a smaller weight of 250g, now also 100g. This includes both this red edition and its purple version. Lao Ba Zhong used to be packed in bamboo baskets weighing 30-50kg, see info from the attached photo from
First grade leaves, very delicate aroma of dry leaves.
This is a nicely matured tea, balanced, smooth, delicate, yet full-bodied. Since I am not familiar with the taste of betel nut, which should be noticeable in the flavor, I find it has more of an aroma of old exotic wood with ripe fruit in the background. Another very pleasant companion, which, thanks to its age, can help you relax and enjoy the moment.

Brewing: rinse briefly before the first infusion, then 100 ml, 6-8 g, 100°C, 15 seconds for the first infusion, followed by infusions of 15-20 seconds, extending the time interval towards the end. The first shorter infusion will be lighter in color and nicely open up the flavors for the next infusion.
