Yen Bai Snow River - 50g

A delicious Vietnamese tea, Gushu MaoCha, or li Sheng, which was harvested in the misty mountains of Yen Bai province in April 2021. The trees are situated at an altitude of around 1400m and is harvested in single bud and leaf form.

The leaves undergo a short wilting process, then it is briefly dried to fix the flavours and rolled, then sun-dried. The dried leaf smells sweetly of honey and milk chocolate.

This is a very fresh, flavour-balanced tea where a combination of fruit flavours, peach, pear, apple and slightly spicy straw predominate, followed by a long, sweet aftertaste.

Brewing: 100ml, 3-4g, 90-95°C, 20-30s min. first and second infusion, then always a quick pour, lasts for many infusions. Towards the end it is possible to extend the infusion time. So far I have never drunk to the very end.
