Yuchih Emerald Old Trees - 50g

Another excellent black tea from the Sun Moon Lake area, Yuchih. A large-leaved, beautifully twisted, glossy tea leaf, sourced from old trees that were originally imported during the Japanese occupation and have been cultivated for over 60 years.
 
Sun Moon Lake is an area famous for growing black tea. It has excellent conditions for this purpose. The climate in this area has an average annual temperature of around 20C and high humidity. Manual harvesting takes place at an altitude of 700-1200 m. The harvest took place in August 2023.
 
The dry leaf has an aroma combining flowers and fruit. The infusion is orange-red in colour. Surprisingly, the tea has a very smooth and delicate texture, a medium body and a taste combining flowers with a slight hint of caramel and cinnamon.
 
 
 Preparation per 100 ml: Gong Fu Cha - 4-5g tea, 98C water, first infusion 40s, second and third infusion 20s, fourth infusion 30s, fifth infusion 40s.
