Another excellent black tea from the Sun Moon Lake area, Yuchih. A large-leaved, beautifully crafted twisted tea leaf from the Camellia sinensis cultivar.
Sun Moon Lake is an area famous for growing black teas. It has excellent conditions for this purpose. The climate in this area has an average annual temperature of around 20C and high humidity. Manual harvesting takes place at an altitude of 700-1200 m. The harvest took place in August 2023.
The dry leaf has an aroma combining honey and fruit. The infusion is golden-red in colour. The tea has a surprisingly smooth texture, a medium-bodied body and a taste combining fruit and exotic woods.
Preparation per 100 ml: Gong Fu Cha - 4-5g tea, 98C water, first infusion 40s, second and third infusion 20s, fourth infusion 30s, fifth infusion 40s.
