Zhong Ping Dan Cong "jasmine" 2018 - 30g

It is a Dan Cong grown at an altitude of approximately 850 m above sea level, near Zhong Ping village, in the Wu Dong mountains, northwest of Feng Huang town.

The leaves are hand-picked in late March from 25-30 year old tea trees. The tea has been carefully processed like traditional Dan Cong, but with minimal oxidation to preserve the floral jasmine-like aromas.

Although the tea carries the "Jasnime aroma" in its name, no jasmine flowers or oils were used to achieve this effect. Don't expect a resemblance to jasmine tea, this Dan Cong doesn't even attempt that, it is a subtle similarity in taste.

The infusion is very light, velvety, with floral notes, you may also notice fruity notes of peach, nectarine.

Harvest March 2018.

The tea is ideal for kung fu cha style brewing and will last for 5 or more full-bodied infusions.

7g per 150ml - steep for 20-30s, gradually lengthen briefly.
