High Mountain Charcoal Roast Spring Gao Shan 2024 - 50g

High-mountain oolong of the highest quality from Nantou County, grown at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level.

Hand-picked from the Chin Xin cultivar and harvested in the spring of 2024. It is then moderately oxidized and roasted using the traditional method over charcoal, which is not common. Most teas are roasted in electric ovens. There are several reasons for this: it requires less labor, it is possible to roast larger batches, and it is therefore a more efficient process for production. This makes high-quality roasted oolong even more rare. It is a truly precisely roasted tea, so you don't have to worry about smoky tones. It is a beautifully balanced high-mountain drink.

The tea is processed into classic, medium-sized pearls, dark brown in color, with a fresh, slightly sweet roasted, high-mountain aroma of dry leaves.

The taste of the tea is full-bodied and will vibrate nicely on your palate from the first infusions. The first infusion is lighter, fresh, offering flavors of almond marzipan, hazelnuts, and high mountain flowers, gradually transitioning into the flavors of high mountain oolongs, with very pleasant and sweet mineral tones.

Expect a rich, long, beautifully sweet aftertaste.

Brewing: 100 ml - 4-5 g, 98°C, 60 The first infusion, which will be slightly lighter in color, is also suitable for initial rinsing. The second, third, and subsequent infusions should be 20-30 seconds, or adjust the times according to your personal preferences.
