An exquisite Ao Hojicha from the Kagoshima region. This is Ao Hojicha, or green Hojicha, which is gently roasted and retains a higher proportion of green leaves, resulting in a unique, milder, and sweeter taste. The leaves for this tea were harvested in the spring of 2025.

The taste of the tea is full-bodied, without bitterness, with a very pleasant dose of umami. The flavor combines sesame cookies, roasted nuts/corn, very pleasant notes of green tea, and a certain exotic, hard-to-identify element, which I like, a slight mystery in the flavor that makes you think.

I recommend it, vacuum-packed in Japan to preserve freshness.

Brewing for 100 ml:

First infusion - 60-70°C, 4-5 g, 60-70 s. I prefere lower temperature. 

Second infusion - same temperature, 25-40 s.

For subsequent infusions, increase the water temperature and extend the steeping time.
