Lu Ye Taitung Hong Oolong 2024 - 50g
Tea from a small farm in the Lu Ye area on the east coast of central Taiwan. Harvested in January 2024.
It is a truly unusual tea, which only saw the light of day in 2007 when it was classified as a new style of tea by the TRES - Taiwan Research Experimental Station. The tea is heavily oxidised and medium roasted and comes in several grades.
In our offer there is the highest quality tea that belongs to the category "bug bitten", in this category belong for example Oriental Beauty or the excellent Gui Fei Oolong. The lower qualities are not "bug bitten".
The leaf is beautifully crafted into small, red-black beads that have a lovely floral aroma full of honey, ripe fruit and raisins. This makes the taste honey-sweet, full of ripe fruit - peaches, floral, velvety with a very pleasant, warm aftertaste.
The tea is vacuum packed to preserve freshness and quality.
