Sencha Saemidori Super Premium 2025 - 50g

Sencha from the Kyoto region, from the Saemidori cultivar, in super premium quality. Named as such by the producer, this means high-quality processed leaves from the very first harvest, from young, delicate leaves of the Saemidori cultivar.

The harvest took place in early May 2025, and you can see the beautifully processed leaves in the photos.

A very delicate, fresh aroma of dry leaves with a combination of grass and cream.

A full-bodied infusion with a very fresh taste and a bright green color, which is also the translation of the Saemidori cultivar = bright green.

The taste combines fresh grasses, light fruitiness, a hint of fresh spice, and an umami aftertaste.

Ideally prepared in shiboridashi:
First infusion - 60C, 4g, 70-100 ml, 1min.
Second infusion - same temperature 25-40s
Subsequent infusions, increase water temperature and extend the leaching time.
