Zuo Ruyu I-Lan Aged Golden Bud Oolong 2014
Zuo Ruyu I-Lan Aged Golden Bud Oolong 2014
Zuo Ruyu I-Lan Aged Golden Bud Oolong 2014
.
A heavily oxidized oolong that could easily be mistaken for a red tea from master Zuo Ruyu. She likes to push the boundaries of tea categories.
The tea comes from the I-Lan region, from a garden at an altitude of around 600 m. It was harvested in 2014, specifically in the spring of 4/2014, and is therefore an archive tea that has been maturing for 11 years. As the name suggests, the tea is tip-like, from the TTES No. 12 - Jin Xuan cultivar.
The beautifully processed leaf with a high proportion of tips has a distinctive aroma that is full of fermented fruit. The aroma is similar to Dark Rose 2015 or Ancient Peony teas.
The infusion is full-bodied and balanced, offering rounded fruit tones - ripe cherries, apricots, peaches, combined with dark honey and the typical element of mature teas.
A unique archive tea.

Brewing: 150 ml, 7 g of tea, water at 90°C, first infusion 15 seconds, then 15 seconds, 15 seconds, 25 seconds, 30 seconds, then gradually extend the infusion time.
I really recommend this tea in smaller volumes, maximum 150 ml. Its quality is suited to this.
