Another interesting tea from the workshop of master Zuo Ruyu. This time the tea is from Zhangping, Fujian, China and it is a very interesting blend.

The tea comes from an altitude of approximately 600m, from the Shui Xian cultivar - Narcissus, or also water lily. This particular tea was hand-harvested in 2022 and then processed into an oolong and a white tea, which are then combined into a whole.

The tea is medium oxidized and pressed into 8-9g cubes.

The aroma of the dry leaf is floral fresh with a hint of herbal notes.

The taste of the tea is clean, fresh, floral and herbal - combining shui xian oolong with a hint of osmanthus and orchids, and there is a clear presence of white tea in the form of herbal sweetness. The flavours complement each other very subtly.

The second of a series of 3 Shui Xian cubes I will introduce. These teas have won 2 gold medals - "Natianal Intangible Cultural Heritage" and "World-Class Intangible Cultural Heritage". Regardless of the award, the main carrier of the quality is mainly the name of the master Zuo Ruyu.

Brewing: 100 ml, 4g of tea, 95C water, rinse, first pour 40s, subsequent pours 20-30s, according to personal preference, will last 8-10 pours. 
I recommend really small volumes, maximum 150ml.

Alternatively, similar preparation, but a whole cube up to 150ml, first pour 40s, then a short rinse and many pours.
