This Sencha is made from the Mirai cultivar, which was bred in Mr. Masui’s organic garden. It is his own cultivar and is not officially registered. It was bred from the Shizu-7132 cultivar.

This sencha undergoes a specific withering process: the leaves are first allowed to wither slightly, and only then are they steamed to halt oxidation. It is still a green tea. This process is intended to intensify the tea’s floral and fruity notes.

The dry leaf looks beautifully processed and has a fresh aroma, combining fruity and creamy notes.

The light green infusion is full-bodied, combining fruity notes, hints of jasmine, and a touch of grassiness that is more reminiscent of steamed vegetables.

Although it is a more affordable tea, suitable for regular drinking, it is a very nice and interesting option.

Brewing for 150 ml: 70–80°C, 3 g, 60 seconds for the first infusion; subsequent infusions 15–30 seconds depending on personal preference.

Once the tea begins to lose its strength, you can extend the steeping time.
