Red tea from the Koushun cultivar, from the Shizuoka region of Japan. This is a late summer harvest, second flush 2025.

Precision-crafted leaves that go from brown to red to black, with a proportion of downy tips. 

The aroma of dry leaves is a combination of ripe fruit and sweet honey notes.

The nose is clear, bright, smooth, amber in colour, beautifully drinkable, the palate is full-bodied, honey-sweet, combining ripe fruit, figs, peaches.

Really very good tea with a great price/performance ratio.

Brewing 150ml: 6g, 98C, first infusion 60s, second infusion 30s, third infusion again 60-70s, possibly longer if you don't want to continue with a weaker fourth infusion.
