A unique vintage chawan from the workshop of master Atsuro Yabe (1941-2017), who was born in 1941 as the third son of the famous potter Ymamoto Toshu, holder of the title "Living National Treasure" in Japan. He specializes in Bizen pottery - Bizen-yaki.
He originally came from the Bizen-yaki region.
In 1968, he began studying ceramics under the guidance of his father, Tōshū Yamamoto.
In 1974, he established his own workshop/kiln and began working independently.
He was a full member of the Japan Kōgei Association (日本工芸会) from 1987.
He passed away in 2017.
An elegant chawan and a fine example of Bizen-yaki, beautifully fired.

Before use: just rinse, no further care is necessary.
Maintenance: do not use cleaning agents or a dishwasher. Clean by hand with clean water, without chemicals. The chawan should be left to dry after each use.
